Daily Discovery #55: Wyatt

A warming bundle of brilliance. Let the enticing vocals of WYATT tempt you into his beautifully produced mirage.

After two years away from music, Wyatt has made a return with this beautifully produced track Silhouette. In 2014, he released his debut EP, self-titled Wyatt. You can still listen to it on his Soundcloud. It’s atmospherical, warm and puts you in that reflective mood where you feel the need to evaluate everything you’re doing in life. He disappeared off the scene, and has returned with Silhouette. A brilliant track and in his own words, a promise its “the start of many more releases.”

Silhouette is incredibly inviting, it’s a warm atmosphere which keeps evolving. Atmospherical noises are brought in before they quickly fade away. There’s soft twinkling keys mixed with space-like pitch bends of electronic noises, and on top of all the beautifully constructed noises are the soft layered vocals.

One thing we do know about his comeback, he’s invested in a real mic. He shared on his Facebook the first EP was rather amazingly recorded using a Skype microphone and mixed in his living room. He was striving to take it back to basics. But now, he’s maybe looking to produce something even bigger. Introducing his new track to his Facebook followers, he dropped “p.s I even bought a real mic.”
