Daily Discovery #88: Artificial Pleasure

Hop in this time machine and whizz back to the 80s with an electronic dance track from ARTIFICIAL PLEASURE.

Read yesterday’s daily discovery: Eat Fast

The moment of truth, are you a winner? Let’s find out. Oh hang on, no you’re not in a gameshow. It’s a cracking opening to a track with the pitch increasing to build suspense before we get going. “Let me out, I really want to dance” are the opening lyrics of I’ll Make It Worth Your While and the key premise of the whole track. Did someone say Bowie? It exudes this power to get you dancing. You’re being told to dance and you can’t not go with it. Artificial Pleasure are infectious.

The track is the trio from London’s first released single and it’s done incredibly well. It’s been picked up by most blogs and had write-ups from NME & The Guardian. There’s only one other track on their Soundcloud which is a little slower:

It’s hard to imagine a static crowd at a gig with these guys, so it’s probably a good idea to head over to Electrowerkz in London on November 28. They’re supporting Leo Porcelain and rumour has it it will be their first live show.
