Uplifting and distinctive, this release by YELLOW DAYS will reach out and pull you into a cloud of imagination. These are vocals you won’t forget.

As the vocals of Yellow Days burst into Gap In The Clouds, they strike out all thoughts in your head. They are undeniably warming and something special; rough and brash, but playful too as he flicks up the ends of notes. Perhaps a mash up of Paolo Nutini with Caleb Followill, the Kings Of Leon vocalist. The track is rather uplifting – a love story. Here’s what Yellow Days says about it:

“It’s about being in a depressed state for so long that your sky is full of clouds, but then that special someone makes a gap in those clouds and they can light up your world again…Someone beautiful came into my life and showed me how to love again and that’s what the tune is for me” – Yellow Days.

Towards the end as it winds down, the pattering of rain is introduced. This is enough to win us over any day. It’s a really well produced track.

“Woah my dear, don’t be afraid,
Oh my hearts been cold but it can come back to life some day
Who really knows the truth,
Life’s what you make and I want to make it with you.
Oh you. Oh you. Oh you.”

Yellow Days is a 17 year old from Surrey. This is the second track taken from his debut EP; here’s the first:
