Read yesterday’s daily discovery: Joy Downer

Loud, brash and pacey – ShitKid is a serious contender for the queen of trash pop. Keeping in line with her previous releases, Sugar Town is gritty, distorted and another brilliantly empowering track. It’s alternative indie rock trash pop punk – could you get a better genre than that?

ShitKid is 24-year- old Åsa Söderqvist from Sweden. She released her first EP in 2016 which went down brilliantly. And now comes Sugar Town. It’s the lead single released of her second EP, EP 2, due out on 3rd March with PNKSLM recordings – you can preorder that here.

After that, a debut album is on the horizon for 2017 and of course a host of new music festivals including The Great Escape.
