Daily Discovery #16: Tusks
Soft and sweet vocals layered on an atmospherical electronic track makes this TUSKS release a slice of electro-pop heaven.
Tusks is the stage name of producer and singer-songwriter Emily Underhill from London. She took the electro-pop world by storm with her debut EP Ink in 2014 and has come back with an even richer sound.
Torn is taken from her EP False released last month. Packed with reverb, repeating phrases of percussion and layered vocals, Torn reflects her producing capabilities. Powerful.
Her delicate vocals are equally as captivating on the title track of the EP False. Matching the style of the EP the video released for False is simple yet engaging and full of emotion.
Her track Ivy from the EP has been picked up by Throwing Stones who have made an awesome remix of the track.

We love the sound Tusks has developed, but apparently we can expect another development in the future. Speaking to Wonderland Magazine, Emily said:
“At the moment I feel like each song is exploring slightly different genres and styles which keeps it interesting for me. I feel like I haven’t totally found my sound yet.”
She’s playing 21st July at The Islington, London with tickets available here.
